If you’re looking for a new place to hang out in Stuart, 999 Lounge Bar—named for numerology’s “angel number”—is it. Open late-night till 2 a.m. daily, the unique spot opened in January with an array of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, light bites, comfy seating, plenty of games, and live music.
A highlight here is the extensive wine list, offering selections from countries including the United States, Italy, France, Georgia, and Moldova. “What’s unique about our wines is that they use some very ancient winemaking techniques,” says manager Vadim Formozal. “They aren’t full of sulfites and don’t have added sugars,” he adds, which can help minimize headaches and hangovers. There are also more than 20 margarita flavors available, plus bottled beer and seltzers. And for coffee lovers, an Italian espresso machine cranks out luscious lattes and macchiatos—or an espresso martini, if something stronger suits your taste.
Plush leather couches and swinging egg chairs provide seating for playing cards, chess, or board games, or taking a toke from a hookah. And live entertainment includes a Texas Hold’em tournament on Tuesdays, karaoke on Thursdays, live music and a deejay on Fridays and Saturdays, a car show on Saturdays, comedy on Sundays, and the occasional line dancing night.
