There are endless reasons to love where we live, and paying homage to the magic of it all seemed like a good idea for our Hometown Love issue. Last fall, we put a call out to readers to submit their favorite photos that convey the idea of hometown love, and y’all did not disappoint! We knew we would receive a fair share of photos of iconic spots like the Jupiter Lighthouse, the Roosevelt Bridge, and, of course, the beach—and each is unique and stunning in its own right. But some of the “slices of life” caught on camera were unexpected, and we appreciated seeing so many different perspectives and takes on the topic. A great blue heron catching its dinner at Riverbend Park, a lazy cat enjoying the day in downtown Stuart, a couple of owlets sharing a tender moment in Port St. Lucie… All of these fleeting moments are part of what makes life here so magical. Thanks to everyone who shared their images with us. Your hometown love truly shines.
