Spotlight: Stage Presence
What do a silent movie house, vaudeville show stage, church, and theater all have in common? They have all been iterations of Stuart’s beloved Lyric Theatre. For nearly a century, the cultural downtown gem has been buoyed by the love of the community. Founded in 1926, it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, showcasing incredible talent on its historic stage. This month, the Lyric welcomes a slate of world-class entertainers including popular jazz-fusion band Spyro Gyra, blues harmonicist John Németh, and Grammy Award–winning blues musician Cedric Burnside.
