When ancient Mayans needed to rest, they would gather at the cenote, a natural pit of water known as the spirit well. Martin County residents can enjoy a cenote of their own at Spirit Well Sensory Lounge.

A collective of practitioners providing a variety of wellness offerings, Spirit Well
Sensory Lounge opened on Colorado Avenue in Stuart in April 2022. The center’s services are divided by the five senses and include practices like chiropractic massage, red light therapy, aromatherapy, Healy diagnostics, sound healing, craniosacral therapy, energy work, hypnosis, life coaching, and more. “We wanted to expand the concept of a healing center to make it accessible to everyone,” says cofounder Tracey Etelson, a quantum healing hypnosis practitioner. “The sensory lounge provides experiences for every type of person.”

Spirit Well also features a lounge with a tonic bar focused on Ayurvedic and herbal wellness drinks, as well as weekly classes on a variety of topics to bring the community together. “It’s our personal and professional mission to live in a state of unconditional love, nonjudgment, and acceptance,” cofounder Stephanie Lipp says. “We hope to make a difference in the health and well-being of every single person who walks in the door.”

Memberships are available for a monthly fee ($50-$75), while nonmembers can take advantage of services for a per-session fee.
