When you’re on the hunt for one-of-one pieces you won’t find anywhere else, head to Alison Manship’s Stuart Vintage. Manship admits she’s always been a lover of old things that tell a story—that’s why she travels all over the Sunshine State (and beyond) to acquire vintage furnishings that speak to her personal aesthetic (and that her customers can’t get enough of).
Case in point? These 1960s-era burnt bamboo chairs were a find from a woman in the process of downsizing. Once a vintage find is procured, Manship goes to work making it new again. Some pieces get a whole new life in the form of several coats of lacquer, while others need more work to be restored to their original condition before they end up on display (while supplies last) in her chic shop.
