The Jensen Beach Garden Club will host the first annual Jensen Beach Garden Expo on Saturday, February 26, at Indian Riverside Park from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors with garden plants, supplies, and accessories for sale will set up shop in the park. Guests are welcome to sit in on educational presentations and demonstrations that revolve around gardening and natural resources.
The Jensen Beach Garden Expo is a family-friendly where visitors of all ages will learn about gardening topics from master gardeners, including information about orchids, native plants in the backyard, palms, and plant propagation. More than 30 vendors will be set up with an array of exciting plants for sale. Attendees will also experience the amazing butterfly community garden the Jensen Beach Garden Club maintains in the park.
All proceeds from the expo will benefit and fund eco-summer camps for children at the Environmental Studies Center. Admission to the expo is free and door prizes will be drawn every hour on the hour. Guests must be present to win.
The Jensen Beach Garden Club has been a community staple for more than 70 years. For seven decades, the club has worked to promote gardening interest and awareness through education and civic beautification projects. Volunteers contribute more than 200 gardening hours for community gardens at Indian Riverside Park, The Hoke Library, and the Log Cabin at Langford Park. The Garden Club also commits to the education of children in need by raising and donating money for environmental camps at the Environmental Center and Oceanographic Society.
