Stop by for an hour or stay for the day at Clay Habit Studio. This relaxing, tropical site off the Indian River Lagoon has called Jensen Beach home for more than 35 years and features a walkable garden, a gift shop, and more. The real fun, however, is attending a pottery class to design a one-of-a-kind creation. Choose from beginner and intermediate wheel-throwing or hand-building classes taught by Mia Lindberg and Lorrie Goss ($35/workshop and materials). Clay Habit also holds special events including Clay Girls Night out ($45/person for two hours), Couples Night ($80/couple for three hours), and privates lessons (from $45/person for a minimum of three hours). Pre-registration is required for all workshops, classes, and events. 1811 NE Mango Terrace, Jensen Beach; 772.341.1334

Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on fabric dyeing experience at Aya Fiber Studio at the Fish House Art Center. Fiber artist Suzanne Connors practices traditional Japanese resist dyeing using indigo and natural dyes and has set up shop in Port Salerno for the past 12 years. This month, be sure to check out two workshops: Eco-Printing with Embellishments with Lisa Binkley, January 11-15, and Joomchi (traditional Korean art of handmade textured paper) with Jiyoung Chung, January 27-29. Workshop prices vary; 4745 SE Desoto Ave. Studio H, Stuart; 336.693.4606
