Stuart native Sarah Wickstrom has spent years playing volleyball—NCAA Division I at Florida State, NCAA All-American, and even played pro in Germany for a few years. When she returned home to Florida last year, she found it difficult to find a place where she enjoyed training, especially during the pandemic, so she started working out in local parks or in her driveway to enjoy the outdoors. That’s when she came up with the idea for All-Outdoors Fitness—Stuart’s first and only fitness facility in the great outdoors.

Located outside Terra Fermata in downtown Stuart, the “studiooffers a range of intimate, personalized training classes (no more than 12 people per class) taught by 28-year-old Wickstrom. “When people spend so much time working indoors, working out in the outdoors can really boost moods, and I wanted to encourage that and bring that back to our community,” says the trainer. Classes are offered three times a day and focus on strength and stability, resistance, cardio, and body-weight training; each 50- to 55-minute class is accompanied by mood-boosting music. “Our biggest focus is small, personalized group classes,” says Wickstrom. “I grew up training my whole life in a small team. That is where you can really focus on reaching your fitness goals.” All-Outdoors Fitness offers a complimentary class to newcomers. Click here to learn more and book your spot.
