Treasure Coast International Film Festival will honor local artists and musicians, as well as local and international filmmakers, at this year’s event October 12-16. The festival kicks off with an opening night screening and Reception Gala October 12.

Screenings will run throughout Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, followed by Q&A sessions with attending directors, producers, and cast members. Each evening will culminate with filmmakers’ and artists’ nightcaps, parties, directors’ mixers, and social networking opportunities. The festival wraps the evening of October 16 with the televised Awards Gala in honor of the artists.

The film festival will host free seminar classes by top industry professionals. The entire family can enjoy “Throwback to The Sixties,” this year’s outdoor-themed Film, Music, & Art Fest, featuring musical performances “Peace of Woodstock” and “Live from Liverpool – A Beatles Tribute.”

There will also be an artist alley, a Sixties Celebrity costume contest, a Hula-Hoop contest for the kids, and interactive booths where the community will have the opportunity to celebrate what is known as “The Greatest Decade Ever” and the influence of the ’60s had on our film, art, and music industries. With the addition of 60s-themed food trucks, vendors, and arts and crafts booths, the festival promises tons of creative fun. Admission is free.
