The Education Foundation of Martin County was recently awarded a Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) EmPOWERing STEM Educators grant, which will support science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)-focused professional learning for Martin County teachers.

The program is designed to assist teachers in implementing effective, standards-aligned STEM instruction and innovative teaching approaches in classrooms. The emphasis on educator-led learning allows teachers to share best practices and collaborate with their colleagues.

FPL also supports teachers and students through its STEM Classroom Makeover Grants, which provide educators with $50,000 to transform their learning environments with cutting-edge technology and interactive materials. Applications open this fall. Learn more at FPL.com/Education.
