It’s a dogs’ day out at Sailfish Splash Waterpark on December 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s annual Santa Paws Holiday Pooch Plunge takes over the park for a day of fun. Admission is $10 per dog. Event proceeds will benefit the shelter animals at the humane society.
Dogs of all sizes and breeds are invited to participate in the open swim session at the waterpark before the facility closes for winter. Pre-register here. Guests may bring canned dog or cat food for the House of Hope’s four-legged friends. Enjoy Selfies with Santa, holiday music, a raffle, signature event towels for sale, a microchip clinic, and lunch from one of the onsite food trucks.
Dogs are the only pets allowed at the event and proof of vaccinations is required (county licenses will suffice). Other considerations include:- One handler per dog
- Dogs must be leashed outside of the swimming area. No retractable leashes and leashes must be six-feet-long or shorter.
- Owners must clean up after their dogs
- No dogs younger than three months
- Leave dogs younger than three months, dogs in heat, aggressive dogs, and/or overly timid dogs at home
- Handlers are to observe their dog for heat exhaustion
