The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance will host Art Walk on November 19, from 5-8 p.m. This month’s event will be even more celebratory than usual, as the event will honor 2nd Street Art’s first anniversary. Two exhibitions will also debut during Art Walk: “Grunge & Glamour” at the Alliance Gallery and “Opulence” at the Ohana Group Gallery.

This month’s Art Walk will launch a new tradition of featuring a drum circle with Kevin Beatkeeper, from 6-7 p.m. in the parking lot of 111 Orange Building. Due to popularity, are encouraged to RSVP for Drum Circle here
In honor of their first anniversary, 2nd Street Art will offer a 50/50 raffle benefiting the Treasure Coast Food Bank, live art demonstrations, and giveaways at the gallery (131 N 2nd Street, Suite B). Fairy Patricia with KekeVanB’s Original Fairy Hair will be available for bookings at 2nd Street Art from 1:30-3:30 p.m., with music from Saxophone Expressions by Bruce Bernstein live from 5-8 p.m.

Art Walk, held on the third Friday of every month, brings local artists, musicians, galleries, and local businesses together for an evening of music, live painting, and shopping in downtown Fort Pierce. Guests will enjoy a variety of live music, including soul duo Southern Soul Society, and classical guitarist Joette Giorgis.
The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance’s two new exhibitions, “Grunge & Glamour” at the Alliance Gallery and “Opulence” at the Ohana Group Gallery, will premiere with a wine reception on November 19 and will be on view through January 17
“We are truly spanning the gamut of the artistic spectrum, from gorgeous, decadent pieces exhibited in ‘Opulence,’ to fashion displayed from designer Nfr Ra, to eclectic paintings and mixed media featuring 3D elements in ‘Grunge & Glamour,’” says Cultural Alliance Community Engagement Manager Jake Sanders. “I can’t recall ever seeing something like this in St. Lucie County, and we’re excited to keep pushing into new artistic territory with our ever-growing membership’s phenomenal work.”
