Getting to the islands just got a whole lot easier with Tradewind Aviation’s expansion of flights from Stuart’s Witham Field in Martin County to a pair of Bahamas destinations. Thursday through Monday, locals can hop a flight from Stuart to Marsh Harbour six times a day, or head for North Eleuthera twice daily. New to Tradewind’s schedule are flights to Nassau which run four times a day.
Tradewind has carved out a niche in the industry by offering guest-centric regional flight experiences to and from destinations such as New York, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard; the company sees Stuart as the ideal hub for expanding its services to travelers looking for more enjoyable island flights. “The market in the Treasure Coast is uniquely connected to the Bahamas, but there has never been an easy way for the local community to reach the Bahamian destinations,” says Jen Lozada, vice president of revenue. “In the last 14 months, we have seen that Stuart is also perfectly positioned for travelers throughout Florida.”
For travelers new to Tradewind, Lozada says flying with the company is akin to a private flight experience. “Tradewind Aviation is celebrating our twenty-fifth anniversary this year.
