Hudson’s on the River is a popular meeting spot for Stuart-area residents, and now it has extended its great vibes, cuisine, and cocktails with the addition of an outdoor tiki bar—Harlow’s Hideout.

Named for the daughter of owners Michael and Leanne Matakaetis, the tiki bar opened in December, offering scrumptious cocktails, live music, and supreme waterfront views. Snuggled at the base of the southeastern corner of the Roosevelt Bridge, it fits perfectly just behind the Hudson’s on the River restaurant.

Visitors to Harlow’s Hideout can enjoy signature cocktails like the Clear Colada or the Smoke on the Hudson and small bites at happy hour, or indulge in tasty entrées including seafood risotto, steak Caribbean, pan-seared grouper, and Hudson’s snapper, all created by Culinary Director John Scott.

Harlow’s Hideout is a family member of The MLM Food Group, which operates popular local spots like Stuart’s Boathouse, Townies Tavern, and Hurricane Grill & Wings, in addition to Hudson’s and Harlow’s. Following the success of Hudson’s, General Manager Brody Schweighofer says opening Harlow’s seemed like a natural extension to take full advantage of the beautiful location. “The tiki bar was set up as a little hideaway to enjoy the most breathtaking views of the St. Lucie River,” he says. “Pull up a chair and, with a frozen cocktail in hand, cast away your worries!”

Harlow’s Hideout opens daily at 11 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday and 10 p.m. Thursday to Saturday. There’s live music Friday and Saturday 6 to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m. For private events, contact Brody Schweighofer at 972-214-9032
