Toasting to one’s health has never been easier. In today’s wellness-driven world, bars and restaurants have seen a rise in demand for clean cocktails boasting whole, unprocessed ingredients. “You can tell the difference between cocktails that contain fresh juices versus those with a lot of added sugar,” says Miranda Devito, owner of the Port St. Lucie–based Bootlegger Mobile Bar, a “boho bar cart” that serves drinks from a vintage camper at private events. “Clean cocktails provide a health boost, and you can drink one or two without having to worry about a headache the next day,” she adds.

Two of Devito’s favorite ingredients are elderberry and lavender. “Elderberry has so many health benefits,” she says. “It’s a natural immune booster that’s packed with antioxidants and vitamins and high in dietary fiber.” She adds: “Lavender improves sleep, is a natural remedy for pain, and reduces blood pressure.”

Here, Devito shares two of her unique, clean creations.

Lavender Blueberry Basil Gin Fizz

  • Muddled blueberries and basil
  • 1 oz. lavender honey syrup
  • 1 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Sparkling water
  • Fresh berries and basil leaves for garnish
